KING ABDULLAH ECONOMIC CITY, Saudi Arabia – Fireballs GC, consisting of Spain’s Sergio García and Eugenio Chacarra and Mexico’s Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz, are gearing up for the final start of the regular season at LIV Golf Jeddah, hosted at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club starting Friday.

After the team’s recent performance in Chicago, where they claimed second place with all four members finishing in the top 20, the Fireballs are entering Jeddah with momentum. Abraham Ancer, based in Texas, had the best individual performance (T-8), confirming an upward trend in his game.

Thanks to their results in Chicago and a team victory early in the season in Tucson, the Fireballs GC currently stand at the sixth spot on the team leaderboard with 104 points.

Captain García, the winner of 36 tournaments worldwide including the 2017 Masters, has achieved two top-10 finishes this year and came close to victory in Singapore, finishing second and securing the ninth spot in Tucson. García is determined to claim his first individual title in LIV Golf in Saudi Arabia, further solidifying his international golfing legacy.

Meanwhile, Ancer achieved a significant milestone in 2023, claiming third place in the individual competition at LIV Golf Bedminster, marking his best performance of the year.

Carlos Ortiz, from Guadalajara, Mexico, will start in Jeddah with three top-20 finishes: seventh at Greenbrier, 17th at Bedminster) and 12th in Chicago, showcasing consistency and steady progress in his tee-to-green game.

Ortiz, the highest-ranked individual on the Fireballs roster at 15th in the points standings, aims to improve on his second-place finish in Tucson earlier in the year and claim his first LIV title.

Chacarra, a recent winner in Scotland on the International Series circuit, has experienced a season with ups and downs. He’s determined to secure a solid finish to improve his current 32nd position in the league's individual ranking.
